2nd May 2018

Monthly Guided Meditation Class. This monthly class is suitable for complete beginners as well as seasoned meditators, and anyone in between. This class will give you the opportunity to ask questions and be able to discuss, and then have the time to practice while being guided.

There are so many benefits to meditation, it is simple, but not always easy.

Meditation helps to:

reduce stress

improve concentration

improve happiness and joy

promote emotional health

enhances self awareness

improve sleep

Improve pain control

Many people believe they cannot meditate, or find it difficult to meditate. It is always easier when in a group, being guided and while practising with an experienced practitioner.





5th May 2018

Fear and Depression Workshop, Newmarket. This workshop includes breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures, body sensing yoga and mindfulness and meditation. We will explore and learn about fear and depression. We will look at  some of the conventional ways to deal with depression. We will explore how fear and depression affects us physically, mentally and emotionally.  We will explore any tension, tightness or restricted range of movement in certain areas in our bodies. We will then use breathing, yoga and meditation to help with physical, mental and emotional releases.  Please feel free to attend if you have not practised yoga before, as most postures are modified to suit each person.

The aim of this workshop is for you to have some transformative techniques to take away to help you in your every day life to help you deal with depression and/or fear. As well as you leaving feeling released, connected, grounded, peaceful and with a deep sense of well being.



9th May 2018

Yin Yoga with Gong 1 ½ hour class, Newmarket. Yin Yoga allows us to work the deeper 'yin' tissues: the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, the deep fascial networks and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active 'yang' style of asana practice. The more active style of yoga tends to target the lengthening and contracting of muscles

Suitable for almost all levels of students. Yin Yoga provides physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual benefits. Yin Yoga is simple, but simple does not mean easy!

Sound frequencies can affect us on a cellular level, influence how we feel and function. Sound healing practices like a Gong uses vibrational sound and frequency to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace and well being for better health.

Yin and Yang Yoga Workshop at The Self Centre, Bury St Edmunds.  The first half of the workshop will be yin yoga. Yin Yoga allows us to work the deeper 'yin' tissues: the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, the deep fascial networks and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active 'yang' style of asana practice. We will have a bathroom and tea break and then  finish the afternoon with a more dynamic ‘yang’ yoga session. The more active style of yoga tends to target the lengthening and contracting of muscles. Both the yin and the yang sessions will have a meditation at the end of each session.

Suitable for almost all levels of students. Yoga provides physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual benefits.


The aim of this workshop is for you find a greater sense of grounding, an unwinding and release, in body and mind and to leave feeling relaxed and happy.

Somatic Movement Workshop, Newmarket . This workshop is an introduction to practice fine articulated movement, designed to build somatic intelligence, proprioceptive awareness and neuroplasticity. The movements replenish the body by ‘soaking’ the tissues. The movements serve to reduce fatigue, pump the viscera and align the vertebral column.

The aim of this workshop is for you restore your body , cultivate essential sensory-motor awareness, reduce body fatigue.




2nd June 2018

Back and Spine Workshop, Newmarket. This workshop includes breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures, body sensing yoga and mindfulness meditation. We will explore the relationship and movement of the whole back, from the tailbone up to the base of the skull. We will look at and discuss some of the common injuries that occur in the back and neck.  We will explore any tension, tightness or restricted range of movement in these areas. We will then use breathing, yoga and meditation to help with physical, mental and emotional releases. Although we are focusing on these areas we will be moving our whole bodies. Please feel free to attend if you have not practised yoga before, as most postures are modified to suit each person.

The aim of this workshop is that you leave feeling released, connected, grounded, peaceful and with a deep sense of well being.

Managing Resentment Workshop, Newmarket. This workshop includes breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures, body sensing yoga and mindfulness and meditation. We will explore and learn about resentment and the impact it has on us physically, mentally and emotionally. We will use yoga to uncover how resentment is held in the body, and how we can help to release it. We will also learn and use mindfulness techniques to help us with existing resentment and then how to notice resentment appearing in the future.


  The aim of this workshop is to let go of old resentments, and have techniques to use if any new resentments appear. As well as you leaving feeling released, connected, grounded, peaceful and with a deep sense of well being.

Core and Posture Workshop, Newmarket.  In this workshop  we will look at the importance of your core and posture. We will look at what happens when we loose  our core and posture and how that affects as mentally as well as physically. We will incorporate pilates as well as yoga postures, along with pranayama (breathing) and meditation.

The aim of this workshop is for you have some take home postures you can practice at home to help improve your core and posture. As well as you leaving you feeling motivated , calm, peaceful and happy.



28th July 2018

The Art of Being Workshop, Newmarket. This workshop includes breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga postures, body sensing yoga and mindfulness meditation. In this workshop we explore human ‘doing’ versus human ‘being’. We will look at non duality and  inter connectedness.  We will then use breathing, yoga and meditation to help with physical, mental and emotional releases. Pre Christmas Workshop, Newmarket. This workshop will incorporate various yoga styles, hatha, yin, yang, bodysensing, somatic movement, pranayama and meditation.

The aim of this workshop is for you to leave feeling  ready for  Christmas , rejuvenated and refreshed, peaceful and happy.
